Author's Kit

This author's kit is to help you prepare your final camera-ready paper and other relevant materials for publication or conference.

Reminder 1: All authors who have papers accepted into ICIC2005 must strictly follow the two deadlines for submitting your camera-ready papers to us and making the registration before 20 May 2005 and 31 May 2005, respectively. Otherwise, your paper(s) will be not included into the ICIC2005 CD-ROM proceedings and LNCS or the ICIC2005 CD-ROM proceedings and International Journals, which is a Mandatory step without exception for any authors.

Reminder 2: If your paper was accepted into LNCS publication, then it will be NOT published by International Journals. Likewise, if your paper was accepted into International Journals publication, then it will be NOT published by LNCS. In other words, you can only get one between the two.

Reminder 3: In the Authors list for your paper(s), you should first write your given Names, then write your Family names, which is an international convention.

1. Paper Format
All accepted papers should be in one column format and single-spaced. Text and illustrations should fill, but not extend an area of 122 mm x 193 mm. Please use 10-point Times-Roman font. The full paper must be TEN pages in length including figures and references. Especially, for papers that will be included by Springer as Lecture Notes in Computer Science, the length will be strictly enforced to be neither more nor less than 10 pages. For papers that will be published by the International Journals, the length for the final paper will depend on peer-reviewersĄ¯ decision. All the accepted papers should be written in English, using the Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) style, including all tables, figures, and references so that we can encode a unified CD-ROM format. Pages should be without page numbers.

2. Paper Submission
All camera-ready papers must be received by May 20, 2005, in order for the papers to be included in the ICIC 2005 CD-ROM Proceedings and LNCS
or the ICIC2005 CD-ROM proceedings and International Journals. Any papers submitted after this date run the risk of not being included in the proceedings and LNCS or the ICIC2005 CD-ROM proceedings and International Journals. To include your paper in the ICIC 2005 CD-ROM proceedings and LNCS or the ICIC2005 CD-ROM proceedings and International Journals, here are the steps you must follow:

(1). Printable file of single-sided final camera-ready version of the paper, which should strictly follow the format requirements of the Springer LNCS.

[2] Volume Editor(s): De-Shuang Huang, et al.
[3] Title of the contribution.
[4] Name and address of corresponding author (please print).
[5] Author's Signature.

[1] Latex users: zip or rar file including LaTeX2e files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures;
[2] Microsoft Word users: Doc file.
[3] Final PDF file (if possible).

For papers that have been sub-selected into the International Journals, final paper submissions are accepted only in PDF file.

It is highly recommended that authors use the LNCS Latex2e template (Download) or the Latex template (Download) to prepare the final papers, since the papers can be complied and indexed easily. However, for Microsoft Word users, you can find a Word template (Download). And other templates may also be available at the Springer website.

If you have any difficulties in uploading your file, please contact icic2005@iim.ac.cn.
